Construction Estimator

************ CANDIDATE WITH PRIOR AUSTRALIA EXPERIENCE MUST APPLY*************About the jobThe role:Due to company growth, we are looking for a Building & Construction Estimator to join our team for our Townsville Office based at Bohle. You will assist our established team with the day-to-day estimations for jobs and for project jobs as well as tenders.Duties include but are not limited to:· Completing all estimating requirements across general maintenance and building projects (diverse range of quoting)· Liaising with the project team, on site technicians and managers· Actively monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)· Keeping clients up to date with work progress· Liaising with management regarding quotes and being proactive in providing solutions and resolutions where possible· Reading and analyzing quotes and drawings from staff, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure best prices are achieved· Communication with sub-trade suppliers, providing all necessary information, details and specifications that are required to provide us with a quote.· Preparing and submitting tenders to secure new projects and contractsOur Ideal Candidate:· Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role within the maintenance/ construction industry (estimating, contract administrating, on-the-tools etc)· Trade background/ knowledge of the industry· Ability to identify potential design concerns and provide workable solutions· Proficient with the use of computers and standard office programs· Ability to stay calm under pressure· Methodical and thorough approach to work· A high degree of initiative, takes ownership of issues and demonstrates a "can do" attitude· Team player that can also work autonomously· Be willing to undergo a Police Check and hold/be willing to obtain a Blue Card & a construction cardOffer to you:· Work Life Balance· Team Building & Social Events· Full Time role available· Office based at Bohle, Townsville· Trade experience looked upon favourably!
