Kalpa purru Wirranjalki Public Health Services SectionLocation : Tennant CreekJob Title : Connected Beginnings CoordinatorEmployment Type : Full Time ContractContract Duration : Ongoing, dependent on fundingSalary : $95,235.00 - $111,740.00 p / aGenerous salary packaging : $15,899.94 p / aReports to : Executive Manager - Public Health ServicesAmazing further benefits including: 6 weeks annual leave, free general dentistry, Remote retention allowance of $750, and Relocation assistance up to $5,000 to help you get settled into town!Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.Exciting opportunity for a full-time Connected Beginnings Coordinator, based in Tennant Creek.Join this community-based organisation and make a genuine difference to our community!This is a rewarding role where you will truly make a difference in the lives of our Remote Communities, providing the chance to experience real job satisfaction every day and play an important role in Anyinginyi's drive to be a provider of high-quality holistic primary health care services to the Aboriginal communities of the Barkly Region in a culturally responsive way.You will be joining a friendly and professional team, where you will receive personal and professional development opportunities from an employer who wants to provide optimum working conditions!About UsAnyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to closing the gap in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.Anyinginyi Health consists of four different sections (Health Services, Business Services, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.Anyinginyi Health's mission is to be a provider of high-quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.About the RoleThe objective of the Connected Beginnings program is the integration of early childhood, maternal and child health, and family support services within school settings in Tennant Creek, so children are healthy and well prepared for school.Working closely with the Connected Beginnings Cultural Advisor, this role is responsible for developing and coordinating pathways between services to improve the outcomes and development of children.More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):Establishing/maintaining connections with pre-school and kindergartenParenting support groupsBreastfeeding support groupsHealthy eating programsCommunity MembersDeveloping connections with other Anyinginyi Health programsTracking and reporting on collective impact, developing internal monitoring toolsProviding reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, and information sessions to Managers and other Anyinginyi Health staffHelping draft policies and procedures to improve child health outcomesAttending community and health sector forums, representing the organisation, and progressing Anyinginyi Health strategic objectivesAbout YouTo be successful in this position, you must have experience managing projects and budgets, possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, have respect for Aboriginal culture and diversity, and be able to demonstrate leadership as well as work in team settings and autonomously.Please see the attached Position Description for more detail.
