As the Compliance Manager you will work with the Executive team to ensure a bespoke governance & compliance framework is embedded across the organisation. This role will provide specialist advice, managing any compliance incidents; building strong relationships with regulators, Government departments, distributors and other third-party organisations; responding to regulator requests and queries.
Primary accountabilities include: Establish and lead streamlined, effective, ethical, and best practice compliance ensuring compliance practices adhere to legislative obligations. Evaluate existing compliance frameworks and programs to identify opportunities for improvement. Support leaders to understand their compliance requirements both with respect to legislative and regulatory requirements as well as corporate governance and best practice models. Develop and conduct training as required for internal stakeholders. Support management with its investigation and remediation of compliance breaches and implementation of audit actions. REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE A proven background in developing, implementing and maintaining a compliance framework within an organisation (Experience within energy is highly advantageous; would also consider retail/consumer product industry backgrounds). A strong understanding of the legal and financial structures within organisations and the compliance needs of complex organisations. Experience in investigating allegations in a highly sensitive and confidential environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications.
