Compliance Officer

Position overview We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer with proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably in real estate or financial services to join our team in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the organization operations, ensuring that our operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, while promoting a culture of compliance within the organisation.
The Company We are an Australian local property developer with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
We focus on residential and commercial property developments and provide customers with a range of property services.
Responsibilities include Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance monitoring and internal controls in accordance with relevant risk and compliance frameworks and procedures. Provide operational and administrative support to the finance team in preparing organisation-wide policies. Assist the finance team to prepare reviews and generate reports, highlighting any issues or areas requiring attention, and suggest necessary corrective actions. Track actions arising out of meetings. Help implement risk management practices by identifying potential areas of risk in real estate transactions, construction activities, and operational processes, and assisting in developing corrective measures. Assist relevant managers in analysing enquiries, complaints or concerns. About you Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field. Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably in real estate or financial services. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
