Department: Governance, Recreation and Property ServicesEmployment Status: Ongoing, full timeLocation: Kingston, Civic CentreSalary range: $80,220 - $86,566 + 12.5% superannuationAbout this position:Council has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join its Compliance Unit. The position works within a professional team responsible for the enforcement of regulations and by-laws in the areas of animal control, fire abatement, nuisances, parking and the non-technical conditions of development and building approvals.To be successful, you will need to have sound negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and apply legislation, by-laws, and regulations. You will also have an aptitude and confidence to deal with animals, predominantly dogs, and be available for after-hours and weekend rostered work.
