ACCORD CARE is trusted in the provision of person-centered disability support services to NDIS participants. We provide Supported Independent Living, In-home care, Community Participation, Short-Term Accommodation, Community Nursing, and Allied Health Services.About the role:This is a full-time office-based role that oversees compliance processes. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring that our organisation adheres to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines and relevant legislative requirements. The role involves monitoring, auditing, and reviewing internal processes to ensure compliance, as well as providing guidance and support to staff on compliance-related matters.Responsibilities:Ensure Regulatory ComplianceMonitor and ensure the organisation's adherence to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Practice Standards and other relevant regulations.Training and EducationDesign training information for staff on compliance-related matters, including NDIS standards and organisational policies.Ensure all employees are aware of their compliance obligations and provide ongoing guidance as needed.Internal Audits and MonitoringConduct internal audits to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement.Risk ManagementIdentify and assess compliance risks within the organisation.Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and present strategies to Senior Management.Incident and Complaint ManagementOversee the management of incident reporting system to ensure they are handled in accordance with NDIS requirements and organisational policies.Ensure all incidents are properly documented and reported.ReportingPrepare and submit compliance reports to senior management and relevant regulatory bodies.Monitor and relay incident reporting to Service Delivery and Senior Management.Engage with Service Delivery and submit NDIS Quality safeguards Commission reporting.Stakeholder EngagementEnsure clear and effective communication with internal stakeholders regarding compliance issues and resolutions.Maintain effective communication with external governing agencies regarding reporting, i.e., NDIS Quality Safeguards Commission.Documentation and Record KeepingEnsure all compliance-related documentation is maintained accurately and securely.Keep detailed records of compliance audits, training sessions, incident reports, and corrective actions.Review and AdaptationReview compliance policies and procedures to ensure they remain current with changes in legislation and NDIS guidelines.Present recommendations of organisational practices to meet new compliance requirements as they arise to Senior Management.Qualifications And ExperienceDiploma or Tertiary Qualification in Community Services, Quality management frameworks or related field desirable.Proven experience in compliance or risk-related roles, preferably in the disability support services sector.Familiarity with NDIS policies, procedures, and regulations.Organisational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience using IT platforms and technologies.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.NDIS Workers Screening clearance.Benefits:Competitive salary and entitlements.Weekly pays.Meaningful work in a purpose-driven organisation.Long-term employment in a recession-proof sector.Professional development and growth opportunities.Our MissionAccord Care's mission is to provide compassionate and exceptional care while fostering a culture of respect, family values, and meaningful contribution.Our Values:This mission statement reflects Accord Care's dedication to the "Accord Way".Accountability: Taking responsibility for the care provided and ensuring that it meets the highest quality and safety standards.Choice: Respecting the autonomy and choices of individuals with disabilities regarding their care, services, and daily lives.Collaboration: Working together with individuals, families, and a multidisciplinary team to create a comprehensive and effective support plan.Opportunity: Providing equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn, work, and participate in their communities.Respect: Treating individuals with dignity, respect for their autonomy, and cultural sensitivity, regardless of their age, background, or condition.Diversity: Acknowledging and embracing the diversity of individuals receiving care, recognizing that each person has unique needs and preferences.#J-18808-Ljbffr
