Compliance Manager

Details of the offer

Compliance & Risk (Banking & Financial Services) Full time Futurity Investment Group has a mission to help Australians to fulfill their lifelong education ambitions and is one of Australia's leading member-focused financial services organisations. After a period of transformation, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced compliance professional to play a pivotal role in the ongoing management of the Group's financial services compliance requirements.
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, your mandate will primarily be to ensure Futurity's adherence to regulatory and ethical standards, including Futurity's policies and procedures, and managing all compliance-related activities. A key part of this role will be managing the compliance register in line with approved frameworks, including the configuration and administration of its compliance systems.
As a senior specialist, you will be well-versed in compliance and governance best practices and expected to work with all levels of the organisation, providing insightful reporting and advice.
You will partner with obligation owners and the Executive Leadership Team with a 'hands-on' approach, using your technical subject matter expertise and your energetic, collegial style to identify and interpret compliance requirements and to continuously develop and implement programs which deliver best practice outcomes.
Highly curious and influential, you will also be expected to promote and foster a culture which incorporates compliance-based methodologies as critical and effective 'value adds' in operational risk management and business decision making.
This broadly mandated role offers genuine scope for career development and is likely to appeal to an experienced and highly motivated compliance professional seeking a hands-on opportunity to support the long-term success of a values-based and for-purpose financial services enterprise.
You might have gained your relevant experience in professional practice and be seeking a move to industry, or in a similar role in another financial services environment. In either case, you should be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of the regulatory environment and the legislation, guidelines, and standards which govern the financial services industry.
Previous experience in FAR preparations and in liaising with regulators will be highly regarded. You should be a self-starter with a flair for building highly collegial working relationships and seeking a role which will stretch and challenge you as the organisation continues to transform and drive its strategy forward.
