Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Support the ongoing embedding of compliance standards, ensuring Caritas Australia meets and exceeds accountability expectations.Coordinating audits and accreditation processes.
Oversee DFAT NGO reaccreditation and audits, streamlining assessment procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.Implement and refine the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.Act as the Safeguarding and Complaints Focal Point, conduct investigations, and engage with the Safeguarding Committee.Deliver insightful updates and reports on Safeguarding, Risk, and Compliance activities to the Caritas Australia Leadership Team and Board.This role is based in our Mascot office and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week.
Who are we looking for?For this role, we are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual, who is committed to making a difference in the world.
The successful candidate will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, preferably within a non-profit organisation.Extensive knowledge of compliance frameworks, organisational risk management and proven ability in managing organisational accreditation processes and audits.Experience in understanding legislative and internal compliance needs.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Desirable but not essential:Understanding of non-profit operations and the unique challenges faced by non-profit organisations.Experience in managing organisational assessment processes, including DFAT accreditation process and audits, and ACFID Code Self-Assessment.Experience in safeguarding practices and conducting investigations within the aid and humanitarian sector, ensuring the protection and well-being of vulnerable populations.For any further questions or enquiries, please contact the recruitment team at .
