Job DescriptionAbout your new company:This Industry giant is one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services.
With offices all around the World, they specialise in offering land transport, air and ocean freight as well as comprehensive logistics solutions and global supply chain management.
They have a strong focus on promoting staff from within and succession planning.
Due to some recent and exciting developments, they are seeking an experienced Compliance and Privacy Officer to join their team on a 12-month contract.
About your new role:Reporting to General Council, the purpose of the role is to oversee the Compliance program and Privacy requirements for the ANZ Cluster, ensuring alignment to local, regional & global internal practices and external (related) legal requirements.
This role drives the compliance framework and culture by developing, monitoring, coordinating and reporting on policies, procedures, systems, internal control, legislation and associated regulatory developments.
Duties will include but won't be limited to:
Interpretation and implementation of the framework to Australian and New Zealand law and legislationPoint of contact for Compliance and Privacy questions from various business functionsAssist the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in developing, implementing, and managing the data protection program, ensuring adherence to privacy regulationsStay updated on regulatory and technology developments, ensuring the company's practices align with evolving best practices in compliance, data protection and privacy.Drive internal reviews and support audits to ensure compliance, informing stakeholders of any gaps and required countermeasures with regard to compliance, data protection and privacy mattersPartner with subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs on compliance, anticorruption, trade regulations, data protection, and privacyAbout you:• Previous experience in a Compliance/Privacy role within a multi-national, ideally Global, organisation• Proactive and adaptable in your approach• Ability to develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, etc.
tailored to the business needs• Strong organisation and project management skills with the proven ability to deliver to strict deadlines• Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and interpersonal skills• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal with proven ability to engage with various levels of stakeholders
