The Opportunity As a result of internal moves, we have two exciting opportunities available for a Compliance Adviser to join our dynamic team on an 8 month or 12-month basis.
The Compliance Adviser is responsible for assisting in developing, setting up, maintaining, and operating an effective local Compliance Management Framework in accordance with Medibank Group Compliance.
Reporting into the Head of Compliance, you will support, partner, and maintain relationships with all key business units within Medibank and deliver effective compliance oversight and advice.
Key accountabilities include:
Assist with developing and implementing policies, procedures, compliance risk assessments, compliance methodologies and tools to support effective compliance management at Medibank. Identify and implement opportunities to improve the Compliance Management Framework and other compliance initiatives and activities. Assist in developing strategies and executing activities to raise compliance awareness throughout Medibank. Maintain a high degree of knowledge of the Medibank operating environment and the regulatory obligations that apply to the business. Manage Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) registers and workflows. Build strong relationships with business areas across the Medibank. About You To be successful as the Compliance Adviser you will have at least three years' experience in Compliance, Risk Management or Audit related roles, either in Health, Insurance or a Financial Services environment.
Demonstrated change management experience and the ability to use independent judgement and make risk-based decisions are essential. Experience developing compliance policies and procedures, problem solving, analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication skills are your areas of expertise.
Strong communication (both written and verbal) and analytical skills will be imperative for this role.
You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships and work in a collaborative environment.
