About the Opportunity The Company Accountant will manage all financial functions of Link Assistive.
Your day to day responsibilities will include hands-on management of all accounting transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expense management, payroll, compliance with statutory obligations, IAS & BAS preparation and monthly reporting for our parent company.
Duties will include but not be limited to: Bank Reconciliation - Including updating the CRM system, filing of remittance advice and associated admin tasks.
Accounts Receivable - Including preparation of invoices/credit notes as required; follow up of overdue invoices Accounts Payable - Including processing of supplier invoices and payments; management of foreign currency payments; lodgement and follow up of disputed charges; updating CRM system Expense Management - Including expense review and approval, and management of the virtual card system Prepayments/Accruals - Including processing of journals and maintenance of schedules NDIS Portal review - Including review and registration of service bookings and quotations; processing and follow up of payment requests Cashflow Management - Including monitoring of cash position and reporting to parent company Payroll - Including processing of fortnightly payroll; review of leave requests and timesheets; administration of employee details; compliance with SGC obligations; reconciliation of payroll at EOFY Payroll Tax - Including calculation, lodgement and payment of payroll tax returns in relevant states Workers Compensation - Including calculation and lodgement of returns, and payment of insurance in relevant states Monthly Reporting - Including ensuring Xero entries are finalised at the end of month; confirming intercompany balances; calculating adjustments; processing required journals; finalising reporting to the parent company within strict deadlines.
BAS/IAS - Including preparation and lodgement and payment of BAS & IAS returns Management Reporting - Including preparation of management reports/forecasts as requested About You Reporting to the CEO, you will be an integral part of the Link Assistive Administration Team.
This is a hands-on role requiring a willingness to undertake all levels of finance related tasks.
To be successful in this role you will have/be: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Accounting will be considered with relevant experience.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, ideally working with international companies but not essential Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Experience with accounting systems (preferably Xero) Proficient with Microsoft applications Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail High degree of numeracy and literacy Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure Have great written and verbal communication Strong problem solving skills Be a team player with the ability to work autonomously National Police Check / Criminal History Check Understanding of the NDIS funding system and experience with NDIS Portals (My Place Provider Portal & My NDIS Provider Portal) is highly desirable.
