Job Description About the role:
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining our accounting ledgers with precision and accuracy. Your financial accounting expertise will be essential as you collaborate with a talented team of analysts, accountants, and accounts officers.
In this role, you will identify and assess the impact of new or revised accounting standards, driving necessary changes to our systems and controls. You will also participate in Finance and ERP implementations, including development, testing, training, and support of best practice accounting processes. Additionally, you will ensure that group finance policies align with accounting standards and are well-documented, understood, and adhered to.

What will you be involved in: Design and implement efficient finance processes and controls to ensure timely and high-quality accounting ledgers are maintained, meeting internal customers' needs.Ensure group finance policies conform with accounting standards and are appropriately documented, understood, and complied with.Identify and assess the impact of new or revised accounting standards, implementing changes to systems and controls, including preparing technical position papers and Board papers.Take part in Finance and ERP implementations by contributing to the development, testing, training, and support of best practice accounting processes, ensuring smooth integration and effective performance.Lead and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes to deliver accurate financial results.Provide high-level analysis and commentary on results across projects, business units, and the consolidated group, including assisting with the preparation of Executive and Board reports.Coordinate statutory audits and prepare statutory accounts.Guide and support the broader finance, accounts, and payroll teams both locally and globally.Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting functions and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of financial information.Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, including finance teams across different entities and external auditors.Collaborate with budget holders to discuss the accounting treatment of costs and other financial matters within the organisation. What we would like from you: Demonstrated experience in a corporate financial accounting or external audit role.A tertiary qualification in accounting and a CA/CPA certification are required.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills.Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
