The HammondCare Volunteer program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person, right here in South West Sydney.
From sport to art, pets to gardening, walking to yoga, baking to craft, movies to music, coffee to crosswords… whatever you love, you can share it with someone who loves it too.
We are seeking a friendly volunteer with a passion to give back in their community of South-West Sydney by visiting an elderly lady living in her own home. Our client enjoys craft (especially diamond dot), gardening, local history, learning, and would enjoy meeting someone to visit her for a good chat and a cuppa. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30-minute to one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday. Visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
