ABOUT US Welcome to the PKKP Aboriginal Corporation (PKKPAC) who administers the traditional lands and waters on behalf of the Puutu, Kunti, Kurrama and Pinikura people.
These lands and waters cover approximately 10,888 square kilometers of Western Australia's Pilbara region between Onslow and Tom Price.
The PKKPAC delivers a range of programs and services to support the social and economic well-being of PKKP Members.
The primary function of the PKKPAC's Community Engagement team is to support determined and prosperous PKKP members.
Our Community Engagement team focuses on meaningful engagement through various programs and support focused on:
Health and well-beingCommunity programsEmployment and trainingCharitable member programs and benefitsThrough engagement, the Community Engagement team builds a holistic understanding of the needs and aspirations of the PKKP community.
CORE VALUES RespectIntegrityLeadershipProfessionalismGuided by the Community Engagement Specialist, you will be required to lead and respond to daily member enquiries and requests for support.
In this position, you will be the first point of contact for the PKKP community.
Therefore, to be considered for this role, you need to possess a high level of cultural and emotional intelligence, with an ability to build rapport quickly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and assist with Membership applicationsLead and support regular engagement and communication with membership, keeping them informed of Membership related Benefit Policies and Programs, COU's activities, community programs, and other such service offerings.Lead and coordinate PKKP's Community Outreach ProgramAssist Members with the Charitable Trust guidelines and policies.Engage and monitor members well-being, liaising with key agencies and service providers to support members' health, economic, social, and educational outcomesAssist members to identify and engage appropriate services available through local, government and other key agencies, supporting them to access applicable servicesEngage, liaise and maintain relationships with Trustee, Executive office, local government and other key agencies, developing a strong working knowledge of their processes to proactively assist members.Contribute to the coordination of community meetings, team meetings, and events.Manage and maintain secure and confidential membership data and information management recordsMaintain a high standard of regular information and communication with the PKKP membershipSupport, coach and supervise Member Services Support Officer deliverablesProficient at utilising Microsoft Office Suite to produce monthly reports, schedules and work plansDrive continuous improvement of support and service activities provided to the PKKP members and their communities.Key Personal Attributes: A Tertiary Qualification in a related discipline (desired)Prior experience in a similar role or experience in client services and a genuine passion for engaging and building relationships within the communityAbility to build rapport quickly and demonstrate empathy and understanding of challenges relating to people from diverse backgrounds and circumstancesExceptional communication skills – verbal and written.Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.Valid C Class Drivers Licence – flexibility and ability to travel within the region.Strong Computer skills including an advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office package.We offer several benefits: Professional development, access to work vehicle during work hours, relocation contribution (if applicable), salary sacrifice.
