Permanent full-time role Salary (Level 4 Officer): $89,845 to $96,408 per annum (FTE) inclusive of annual leave loading plus superannuation Participate on an on-call roster and undertake regular parking work out of normal business hours including weekends Based at Hilton, SA What you'll do As our Community Safety Officer in the Compliance team, you'll be out and about on operational patrol and be responsible for the efficient and effective management of community safety issues in West Torrens.
In this role you will undertake a variety of duties including: Enforcing the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, Australian Road Rules and Private Parking Areas Act including identifying and rectifying any inappropriate use of roads and footpaths and enforcing breaches of parking restrictions.
Conducting records of interview, obtaining statements, collecting other evidence and preparing written reports.
Investigating fire hazards, overgrown vegetation and nuisance reports.
Responding to reports of dogs wandering at large and attacks.
Adequately managing corporate records according to CWT policies, procedures and legislation.
As this role is community-focused, you will promote a positive and professional image of CWT by providing friendly and professional service in a courteous and prompt manner.
It is a requirement of the role to: Participate on an on-call roster.
Undertake regular work out of normal business hours including weekends.

You will have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills as well as demonstrated experience in a similar regulatory environment and be excited about joining a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have: Working knowledge and understanding of the obligations placed on Local Government in administering, educating, enforcing and achieving legislative community safety.
A general understanding of regulatory services.
Strong documentation, record keeping and report writing skills.
Significant experience previously working in a compliance and/or in a customer service environment.
In accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within six months of issue) and a current Class C Driver's Licence will be required as part of the recruitment process.
