Are you passionate about community safety and compliance?
As a Community Safety Officer with Horsham Rural City Council, you'll play a key role in upholding our Local Laws, managing animal and pound services, overseeing parking control, and enforcing State Acts.
This casual role offers you the flexibility to work without set hours, providing a great opportunity to serve the community while balancing your own schedule.
Key Responsibilities: Enforce parking restrictions, including the Disabled Parking Scheme, ensuring fair access to public spaces and supporting local businesses.
Operate the Council's pound facility efficiently and legally, managing animal welfare and community safety.
Supervise school crossings and conduct traffic control as needed, supporting road safety initiatives.
Obtain statements, prepare briefs for court, and provide evidence as required, aiding in effective legal processes.
About You:
We're looking for someone with a Certificate IV in Animal Management, Local Government, Statutory Compliance, or similar qualifications, or who has hands-on experience in local laws, animal control, or regulatory work.
Your knowledge and commitment to public service will be essential in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming community.
