Working as part of the Community Rugby Department and reporting to the Head of Game Development, the Community Rugby Coordinator will work closely with Member Unions and other stakeholders to support and deliver critical administrative tasks necessary for participation in rugby.
The role is primarily focused on the administration of Sporting Schools programs which are key to providing kids with an opportunity to participate in modified games and activities that develop physical, social, psychological, and cognitive skills, and which encourage and support the transition to ongoing forms of participation in rugby.
Key Accountabilities Sporting Schools
Deliver all necessary administrative requirements for the effective and efficient delivery of the Rugby Sporting Schools Program including managing program opportunities through Salesforce and the ASC OfficialsHQ portal, as well as managing and fulfilling stock of all necessary equipment within the Rugby Australia Club Shop. Support the budget process for the program and provide day-to-day maintenance of relevant budget expenditures including raising and fulfilling invoices and purchase orders, and tracking spend. Lead the Sporting Schools relationship with Sport Australia and represent Rugby Australia at all relevant meetings. Collect data to track performance against targets and produce reports on the effectiveness of the Rugby Sporting Schools strategy and operations. Work in collaboration with relevant Rugby Australia departments including Commercial & Marketing to maximise the impact of the Sporting Schools Program. Provide training, advice, and customer support as required to support the successful delivery of Sporting Schools programs. As part of this, effectively communicate Rugby Australia's objectives, attend and where appropriate, lead information sessions and conduct workforce training with Member Unions around Salesforce, data capture and resources. Assist in coordinating test match activations in conjunction with other members of the Game Development team. Support other members of the Community Rugby team with relevant administrative tasks relating to club programs and competitions including but not limited to: Managing the Community Rugby mailbox and liaising with other Rugby Australia staff as required to answer queries in a prompt manner. Managing Rugby Australia's charity request process. Assisting with the inbound and outbound international player clearance process. Assisting with travel and logistic requirements. Assisting in the planning and delivery of community events and/or major projects, i.e. conferences, tours, community fan days, etc. Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications Capabilities
Required
Demonstrated ability to think, plan and mobilise others to act strategically. Ability to initiate, monitor and review projects and activities in line with organisational plans. Previous management experience with a demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Previous experience and proficiency using Salesforce to manage customer relationships and sales. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations on program direction. Demonstrated project management skills including an ability to analyse, plan, monitor, evaluate and prioritise. Ability to deliver practical programs and projects. Disciplined budget management experience. Working knowledge and experience in community sport. Good negotiation skills with an ability to resolve sensitive issues internally and externally at management level. Working knowledge of Community Rugby standards, expectations and opportunities. Required
Experience working in community sport. Experience in sport with a preference for rugby union, particularly at the grassroots level. Experience in the development of education/development programs. Experience mentoring individuals/groups. Qualifications
Required
