Community Relations Director – Renewable EnergyWe're Green Wind Renewables – a WA based renewable energy developer focused on developing large-scale wind energy projects to accelerate WA's transition to net zero emissions. We're developing a portfolio of large-scale onshore wind farms totalling up to 2.4GW in WA, connected to the South-West Interconnected System (SWIS).
About the Opportunity You'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative renewable energy development company, that is currently developing large-scale wind energy projects in Western Australia's SWIS. We're a growing team and looking to bring in the best and the brightest people to help us develop and deliver these ambitious renewable energy projects for the State and its large electricity consumers. That's where you come in.
In the role of Community Relations Director, you'll be responsible for:
Establishing, maintaining and strengthening relationships with landowners, neighbours, the community and other key stakeholders in locations where our projects are being developed.Developing and managing community engagement and stakeholder management plans.Developing and managing Green Wind's brand, media and communications strategy, plans and operations.Preparing high quality communication materials, presentations and reports that support business and project requirements and objectives.Leading and managing a small team of community relations professionals to effectively support the community engagement and relationship management for the company.About You Green Wind Renewables is seeking an energetic and passionate team player with a can-do attitude to join our expanding team. We're seeking someone who is results-driven, keen for a diverse hands-on role and proactive in their approach. While prior experience in the renewables sector isn't mandatory, if you possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience, we're keen to hear from you:
At least 3+ years senior level experience in a stakeholder engagement/management role, corporate/public relations role or similar.Demonstrated experience supporting major projects by leading and managing the stakeholder engagement requirements of the projects.Some knowledge of local community and state-based development approval frameworks and processes.Experience leading and managing teams.Exceptional communication skills (written and spoken) with a high level of attention to detail, that can positively promote the company's brand through written and in-person engagement with the community, media and our stakeholders.A degree and/or equivalent qualifications in fields like Communications, Business/Commerce, project management.Ideally you will be familiar with or accredited in IAP2-based engagement frameworks.Your main workplace will be situated in our central Perth CBD office.
