About the RoleThe Community Project Manager works across multiple programs and regions, providing support to the Local Area Coordination teams and Early Childhood Early Intervention teams to provide inclusive support to people with disabilities. The CPM will promote service excellence and support the teams to partner with people living with disability to build capacity through providing information and connections, promoting self-sufficiency, not dependency and facilitate systemic change to provide better outcomes for people with disability, their families, and carers.
Key DutiesWork within the NDIS ILC Outcomes Framework and NDIS LAC principles.Establish and maintain strong outcomes-focused networks with community groups, organisations, government services and service providers and support the linking of people with disabilities and their families to these as appropriate.Manage and implement operational processes, procedures, compliance, and protocols in accordance with the role.Manage, monitor, and report performance against contractual requirements including managing and maintaining regular reporting by monitoring and maintaining records and spreadsheets in IT systems.Contribute to a positive work culture based on the mission, vision, and values of Baptcare, Human Rights, Personalisation and Citizenship.Make an active commitment to the development and maintenance of cohesive teams both within Baptcare and the NDIA.Complete all required training both NDIA LEAP and Baptcare Learning Management System within specified time frames.Support LAC and ECEI Coordinators to lead meaningful community engagement and awareness activities and capacity building projects.Communicate in conversations, written work and in presentations effectively, appropriately, and respectfully.Utilise excellent organisational, time management and self-direction skills.Work within relevant standards and legislation including but not limited to the NDIS Act 2013 and associated rules, Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 (Vic), Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 2009 (Tas), Child Safe Standards (Vic, but applicable to Tas), Carer Recognition Act 2010 (Cwlth) and 2012 (Vic), Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 (SA) and Work Health and Safety requirements.Ensure the timely provision of information and linkages to mainstream services for participants and non-participants.About YouYou are passionate about continuing to grow your career in Disability Services space. You will ideally bring the following:A relevant tertiary qualification in disability, capacity building and empowerment or community services (or demonstrated enrolment and progress to completion).Demonstrated understanding of community and individual capacity building techniques and experience of working alongside people with a disability to set, reach and achieve their goals and create a good life for themselves.Demonstrated experience and commitment to working with and delivering high quality services to people with a disability, their families, carers, and local communities.Demonstrated understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children and with vulnerable people and have experience in working with children and with vulnerable people.For YouBaptcare is focused on living our values, not just talking about them. Driver's licence and own reliable vehicle (role dependant).
Must undertake a NDIS Worker Screening check.
Working With Vulnerable People/Children's Check.
