Band 5 starting at $74,484.28 + super 0.55 FTE, 21 hours per week Days and hours of work negotiable, with flexibility of days desirable to support playgroups Mon-Fri The Role: City of Ballarat are seeking a vibrant, experienced and motivated individual to help support and grow existing and new playgroups within our community.
Working with community members and stakeholders, you will use your understanding of the importance of the early years and playgroups to promote and support access to inclusive early childhood education for parents, carers and young children.
As the Community Playgroup Officer, you will be an experienced early years professional with expertise in the establishment, maintenance and operational requirements for community-based group programs.
What does my new role entail? Based at Parent Place and across the municipality, this role will be responsible for:
Supporting any of the current and future initiatives identified in the Municipal Early Years Plan (MEYP) relating to community playgroups. Building partnerships with existing and new supported and community playgroups, venues and service providers. Providing project management for the planning, development and implementation of community playgroups. Establishing and maintaining partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders. Conducting proactive engagement and awareness for families and service providers to establish community playgroups and advocate for the role of playgroups in early childhood education and social connection. Supporting community playgroups to operate within Child Safe Standards and appropriate legislative and other frameworks. Providing advice and guidance on the delivery of community playgroups. Facilitating playgroups in the absence of a community-based facilitator, where appropriate. To Apply: To apply for this position please click on the Apply button and submit your application.
