Senior Communications Officer (2-Month Contract)    Are you a communications professional with a passion for both digital and traditional media?

We are looking for a Senior Communications Officer to join our client for a 2-month contract.
Our client, a dynamic local council in Melbourne's southeast, is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the community by promoting and delivering meaningful projects.
This exciting opportunity allows you to work on a mix of digital and traditional communication, where you'll play a pivotal role in selling projects to the public.
About the Role This project-based role involves going beyond the office.
You will be required to visit various sites to understand first-hand what the council is working on, ensuring that you are equipped to communicate these projects effectively to the community.
With good judgement and strong representation skills, you will engage in key meetings such as project control group sessions, where your input and presentation will contribute to the success of the initiatives.
This role is not only about executing communication strategies but also about being an active part of the projects' lifeblood.
Key Responsibilities: Mix of digital and traditional communication tasks, ensuring all channels are utilised to maximise outreach.
Visiting project sites to gain a thorough understanding of council initiatives.
Developing and delivering communications that help engage and inform the community about various projects.
Representing the communications department at meetings and working closely with project teams to ensure alignment in messaging.
Utilising your judgement to assess and tailor communications strategies effectively.
