To apply for this position, you must live within the City of Whittlesea municipality, and you need to meet at least one of the following criteria:People from Culturally or Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgroundsAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander PeoplesPeople living with disabilityOlder people unable to find suitable employmentResidents who may be experiencing hardshipMake a difference in our community!In this role, you will collaborate with a Dedicated Playgroup Team at The City of Whittlesea to foster the creation and development of community-led playgroups. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the capabilities of playgroup participants by role modelling the setting up of age-appropriate activities, supporting weekly story and song times and embedding routines into playgroups. Your role will involve empowering community members to actively volunteer and assume leadership responsibilities in the coordination of their weekly playgroup.About YouWe are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the needs of children and families within the City of Whittlesea, and someone who is looking to build their confidence and skills to enter the workforce.
