What you'll be doing
The Community Mental Health Clinician provides recovery-focused clinical services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for individuals referred to the service with mental illness, distress, and/or risk issues.
Selection Criteria Tertiary Qualifications and current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Psychologist OR Tertiary qualifications for Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer with eligibility for membership in the relevant professional association.Demonstrated experience in the provision of contemporary clinical mental health practice including conducting mental health assessments and providing evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing mental illness.Understanding of the NSW Mental Health Act (2007).Experience using a collaborative, strengths-based approach to care for mental health consumers.High-level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families, and other stakeholders, along with proficiency in computer literacy.Current unrestricted driver's license and the ability to maintain it. Willingness to drive/travel as required, which may involve long distances.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category 'A' position. All new employees must comply with the requirements outlined in NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015, including proof of vaccination against influenza for those entering Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF).
