For more information, please visit our website: www.metamaya.com.au About the Opportunity Pilbara Meta Maya is seeking a full-time Community Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor based in Port Hedland, WA. This pivotal role involves supervising and guiding municipal services teams to ensure that all contractual breakdowns and project works are completed effectively and safely. You will play a key role in ensuring that municipal services are delivered efficiently to remote Aboriginal communities, contributing to the upkeep and safety of these communities.

Key responsibilities include: Providing supervision and direction to teams to ensure work is delivered safely, productively, and to high-quality standards Travelling to remote communities as required, assisting Municipal Services (MUNS) teams and client audit teams Evaluating and addressing unique challenges with critical thinking and problem-solving skills Assisting in the creation and management of operations schedules for staff and contractors, and regularly reporting on these to the Municipal Services Manager Ensuring compliance with contractual KPIs, budget constraints, and industry standards Promoting and maintaining high health, safety, and environmental standards across the department Ensuring all work-related documentation is processed and completed in a timely manner Identifying and implementing appropriate training for MUNS staff in conjunction with management Supporting company policies and procedures, including WHS, Environmental, Quality, and Risk standards To read the full position description, please click here.

For the Port Hedland location, the role requires working 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Travel is a significant part of this role. About You To qualify, you will need a valid manual C-class driver's licence and a First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role within a busy work environment is essential. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, capable of working in hot weather, and have a strong understanding of safety procedures.

Previous supervisory experience in facilities, maintenance, labouring, warehousing, cleaning, gardening, driving, factory work, groundskeeping, or infrastructure will make you a perfect candidate for this position.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

Demonstrated experience in ensuring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance/service works are completed Experience with machinery operations (e.g., Bobcat, excavator, front-end loader licences) Operate and Maintain Chainsaws Certificate Prior experience working with Aboriginal corporations or in the non-profit sector Experience in remote areas, public works or local government Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite As our ideal candidate, you possess excellent problem-solving skills, a critical thinking mindset, and the ability to navigate unique and varying challenges.
