ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is all about making things happen. You will be the driving force connecting Ventia's bold social sustainability goals with the ambitious outcomes set by Auckland Council and Local Boards.
As a leader in this position, you'll spearhead initiatives, tackle challenges head-on, and create tangible benefits for the community, Ventia, and our partners. This is your chance to lead from the front and deliver real, measurable impact.
Key Accountabilities
Lead Social Value Action Plans: Take ownership of creating and delivering bespoke Social Value Action Plans that align with Ventia's social sustainability goals. You'll be shaping strategies that bring genuine value to local communities, from vulnerable groups to key stakeholders. Champion Local Needs: You'll be at the forefront of ensuring community needs are heard and addressed. Using Local Needs Analysis, you'll adapt strategies to ensure every project is a perfect fit for the community it serves. Be a Connector: Build strong, authentic relationships with Iwi / Mana Whenua, Maori, Pasifika, and other local businesses and community groups. Your role will be pivotal in fostering collaboration and ensuring that Ventia is a partner communities can trust. Drive Maori and Pasifika Engagement: Lead Ventia's efforts in engaging and supporting local Maori and Pasifika businesses, ensuring they're included in our supply chain and that we're creating lasting partnerships. Attract Top Talent: Work closely with the Ventia Recruitment team and local providers to develop inclusive recruitment strategies that attract diverse talent from Maori / Mana Whenua, Pasifika, and other priority groups. Help shape the future of Ventia's workforce. Make an Impact with Reporting: Bring the numbers and stories to life by generating impactful reports that showcase our social sustainability achievements, directly to Ventia's senior leadership, Auckland Council, and Local Boards.
