Job Title: Community Engagement Support WorkerJob Type: Full-timeLocation: Mount Isa, QueenslandSupervisor: ManagerRemuneration: $74,500 Per annumAbilifly Support Service is a registered NDIS provider that specializes in providing in-home and community support to people with a disability, children, teenagers, and young adults.Abilifly is currently looking for Community Engagement Support Workers in the Mount Isa region to join our team.Role Responsibility:We are seeking physically fit, active, energetic, enthusiastic, and professional individuals with solid experience in the community and/or disability sector to join our team in Mount Isa on a full-time permanent basis.Reporting to the Service Delivery Officer/Manager, you will be required to support participants to reach their individual goals through meaningful and fun activities in their home and out in the community.As a Support Worker you will:Be respectful and communicate well with family members of those you work with as you will be working in the participants' family homes.Think on your feet and adapt to different situations and participants.Support the people we care for to grow their skills and abilities to perform tasks that help them live a meaningful life.Support the development and maintenance of independence and safety, which may include personal care and hygiene, health and wellbeing, meal preparation, or supporting them to access the community and activities.Implement Behaviour Support Plans, where required, to support individuals who demonstrate challenging behaviours in achieving their goals.Implement routines and structures set out by Allied Health Teams.Please note that you may be required to work morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts depending on participant needs, which may include weekends and public holidays.
