The RoleThe Community Engagement Specialist will play a key role in the energy transition in Victoria.
This role is focused on the delivery phase of the construction and commissioning of a new Solar and Battery Energy Storage System in the Wimmera Region capable of powering the majority of homes and businesses in the area as well as making renewable energy available to the wider National Electricity Market.
The role will focus on the operational community engagement responsibilities to support construction activities.
This local approach aims to build effective social licence through the design and implementation of tailored communication and engagement strategies, as well as benefit sharing approaches related to a range of stakeholders including local communities and business groups, landholders, Traditional Owner groups and First Nations Peoples.
The Requirements Someone ideally located in Wimmera region of Victoria or surrounds with a sense of what matters to the local community and economy.Commitment to a 2 year contract on a part-time 3 day per week basis.5+ years experience in community and stakeholder engagement.
Experience working on projects in construction would be advantageous.Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Media or Public Relations.
