Quality Coordinator Community Services

This position contributes to the day-to-day success of the Community Services Directorate through the management and delivery of Quality & Organisational Safety. This role has the overall responsibility for the delivery of Quality & Accreditation, Risk management, and safety and compliance.The Community Services Quality Coordinator will have a demonstrated understanding and knowledge of policy, legislation, and professional quality standards governing service delivery. The role necessitates the formulation of effective working relationships within the organisation to maximise staff understanding of quality and the effective management of clinical governance systems.The position is accountable to the Quality & Risk Manager and will work in close association with Director Community Services and with the Senior Leadership Team to reflect an organisation-wide approach to continuous improvement in an integrated small rural health environment.Key Selection CriteriaEssential:• Qualifications in health, quality/risk management, or business or equivalent work-related experience.• Demonstrated experience in coordinating the quality and risk function within a health setting.• Knowledge of contemporary Quality and Risk principles, best practice, and the statutory and regulatory framework in which they operate.• Highly developed communication skills with experience in report writing and presentations.• An ability to engage employees at all levels to encourage an active involvement in continuous improvement and risk management activities.• Excellent attention to detail with highly developed organisational and time management skills.• An ability to manage complex inquiries from clients, staff, and other stakeholders, working collaboratively to find solutions.• Intermediate-advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Compliance Databases).• Current driver's licence.Desirable:• Experience in RiskMan and PROMPT systems.• Knowledge of current trends in health service provision and new Aged Care reforms.Hesse Rural Health is committed to an inclusive culture.
