Position OverviewThe Sector & Community Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining partnerships with sectors and communities throughout Tasmania. This role is crucial in promoting palliative care, building awareness, and ensuring the organisation's mission is communicated effectively.Key duties include delivering educational programs, both in-person and online, and serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders. This role requires travel across Tasmania, including occasional overnight stays, to engage with regional communities and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesSector Engagement:Lead education and training sessions tailored to various sectors.Facilitate discussions and workshops to enhance collaboration in palliative care.Establish and strengthen relationships with healthcare professionals and organisations.Community Engagement:Develop and implement strategies to engage community groups in palliative care topics.Conduct outreach to increase awareness of palliative care services.Represent the organisation at events, acting as a liaison between the community and the organisation.Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders.Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders in the North and North West of Tasmania.Ensure clear communication and updates on organisational activities to all stakeholders.Collaboration:Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment with organisational goals.Coordinate cross-functional projects with external partners, ensuring successful outcomes.Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement strategies.RequirementExperience in palliative care or education, with an understanding of the Tasmanian healthcare landscape.The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects with initiative.Strong communication skills to build partnerships and deliver education both online and in-person.A willingness to travel across Tasmania, with a focus on community and sector engagement.Benefits: Enjoy a work-life balance with part-time options and the ability to work remotely.Access to ongoing education and training, helping you advance in your career.Make a meaningful difference in the lives of Tasmanians facing life-limiting illnesses.Join a team that values compassion, respect, and collaboration, with a focus on your well-being.If you, or someone you know, are interested in learning more about this position, please contact Fironika Loganathan at 0402 293 924 or email ****** to discuss further.
