The OpportunityWe are now looking for a full-time Community Engagement Officer based in Darwin, NT.
This role serves as a vital connector between Supply Nation and Indigenous suppliers, reporting to the Community Engagement Manager and is critical for strategising and executing engagement initiatives. Travel to various states and territories across the country to represent Supply Nation at meetings, conferences and other business-related activities will be required.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Championing cultural values and integrity within the organisation and with external stakeholdersFostering a culture of learning, respect, and inclusionCollaborating with teams to develop and implement community engagement strategiesServing as the primary contact for Indigenous businesses, fostering connectionsOffering insights and trend analysis to guide strategic engagement approachesEstablishing and maintaining effective communication channels with stakeholdersRepresenting Supply Nation at relevant events and educating on its missionAssisting in the development of communication and promotional materialsWhat We Need From YouTo qualify, you will need demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, and issues affecting Indigenous Australians in business. Experience in community engagement, especially within Indigenous contexts, will also be essential. Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
High level communication and liaison skillsAbility to prepare detailed reports and general correspondenceStrong administrative skillsExceptional time management and prioritisation skillsA strong commitment to customer serviceAs our ideal candidate, you will possess interpersonal skills that demonstrate a positive approach to client service and managing expectations of suppliers. You should be someone who cares deeply about cultural values and integrity and stands up for what you believe in.
