What you'll be doing: As the Community Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to assist the CDC team in identifying opportunities and establishing clear outcome measures for community capacity-building projects.
These initiatives will focus on empowering people with disabilities to have a voice within their communities, ensuring that local mainstream and community services adopt inclusive practices to better support individuals living with disabilities.
Our Community Development Coordinators are based in Adelaide, Townsville, Mackay, and the ACT.
Your work will include: Managing and supporting a team of CDCs to identify opportunities and clear outcome measurements for community capacity building projects which focus on people with disability having a voice in their community and local mainstream and community services embedding inclusive practices to support people living with disability.
Assisting in implementing a range of specifically tailored initiatives, which promote diversity, inclusion, and cultural awareness together with the engagement and participation of people living with disability who are from First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD), LGBTIQA+ and rural and remote communities.
Working in collaboration with Service Area Managers and the General Manager to develop and implement strategies to support LAC to assist people deemed not eligible for the Scheme, their families and carers with information, linkages and supports to connect to mainstream and community supports or alternative funding opportunities within their community.
Assisting the General Manager with development of Community Capacity Building Plan (CCB) and quarterly reporting to NDIS.
Lead and support CDC Team to deliver multi-faceted community engagement activities which build community capacity building over the long term.
Promoting effective strategies to increase social inclusion opportunities for people with disability both locally and nationally.
Collaborating with key regional stakeholders to establish Feros Care's participation in reference groups or steering committees, which influence access and inclusion for people with disability within the community.

Significant proven experience working in community development roles.
An understanding of community capacity building models.
Demonstrated experience in supporting people living with disability.
Demonstrated project management experience and administration.
Ability to work flexible hours, dependent on work requirements.
Experience in new program development, implementation and roll out.
Experience and knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS legislation and Strategic Directions.
What we can do for you: The salary on offer for this role is $100,521 plus 11.5% Super.
Non-for-profit Salary Packaging (up to the value of $15,899 per annum tax free) and Meal and Entertainment Packaging (up to the value of $2650 per annum tax free) (Part time and Full-time employees).
