We specialise in the design, build, delivery, installation, support and service of practical and effective technology solutions to meet our clients' needs.We are seeking qualified Communications Technicians to join our QLD team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidates will work as an integral part in successfully delivering and maintaining telecommunications networks and solutions for our customers in the QLD coalfields, Rail and Defence Force sectors.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensure safe, reliable and effective installation, operation and maintenance of radio networksParticipate in the design, installation, maintenance and repair of electronics and communication equipmentAssist with commissioning and start-up of new installationsLiaise with vendors, suppliers, Radlink engineers and site-based resources as requiredTest, identify and repair equipment to specified requirementsWork with engineering and projects teams to develop technical solutions for clientsAbout youBrisbane or Mackay based preferred, however, consideration for some roles will be given to candidates in regional areasSCADA and/or Instrumentation Techs are encouraged to applyMust have a current C-Class Drivers' License as a minimum2-5 years' experience on RF and Electronic SystemsExperience in the following field would be desirable:Analogue VHF / UHF Radio SystemP25TetraDMRLTEMicrowave, Point to Point / Point to Multi PointAbility to assist in the maintenance installation and commissioning of telecommunications systemsConstruction White CardMine site experience (preferred but not essential)Sound judgement to make appropriate decisions with limited directionAbility and drive to learn new skills and pick up on technical concepts quicklyAdaptable and agile to meet project and customer prioritiesAvailability to travelMultiple roles are required to fulfill FIFO/DIDO rosters (typically 7/7 or 8/6).What we offerTechnical and product trainingSalary Sacrifice Arrangements (Salary Sacrificing Superannuation and Novated Leasing)Employee Assistance Program12 weeks paid parental leave for eligible employeesRDO's may be accrued when working MetroCorporate uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment providedEmployee Referral Bonus.Candidates will be required to complete pre-employment medicals including drug and alcohol screening.We recognise the importance of having a diverse workforce and encourage candidates from all backgrounds including First Nations People, current and emerging Australian Defence Force veterans, people with differing abilities and LGBTIQ+ to apply.
