Description SummaryService Stream's Telecommunications division is currently seeking a Communications Technician to join our Ferntree Gully workforce!About the RoleAs the Communications Technician at Service Stream, you will form part of the Field Delivery Team and act as an individual contributor at times.
You will be primarily responsible for building, maintaining and decommissioning Telecommunication networks, including but not limited to Optus, Uecomm, NBN, Telstra, TPG, Telco Authorities and Power Utility.Nature of position: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Ferntree Gully, VictoriaReporting Line: State Field Delivery ManagerKey Responsibilities:Work onsite/in field as part of one or multiple crews dailyWilling and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.Willing and able to work away from home from time to timeCommunicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor.Participate of actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)About You:Hold a current Driver's licenseConstruction OH&S Induction CardHold MR or higher Truck LicenseExperience in an Infrastructure Services environmentExperience in the Telecommunications industryProficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel & OutlookGood communication skillsAbility to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergencyAbility to work autonomously within teamsExperience working at heights
