This full-time role will give you a chance to provide strategic specialist and technical advice in relation to our social media presence.
You will be able to help us grow our digital presence and provide direction to colleagues on how best to use social platforms to promote and engage with our community.
You'll be part of a small creative team that supports the organisation with communications, engagement, design and media and there are many positives working with the City of West Torrens including: permanent full-time role salary (Level 5 Officer): $98,151 to $102,527 per annum (FTE) inclusive of annual leave loading plus superannuation based at Hilton on the city fringe one rostered day off per month free car parking on site.
What you'll do On any given day, you'll be required to craft compelling copy and content, including video, for Council's various social media channels.
You'll be required to seek out story ideas and work with colleagues to promote projects and services in an engaging way.
You will be required to manage our key social channels and provide specialist advice and support to others who also create content for our sites.
In addition to overseeing social media, you will provide support to Council's creative team in helping generate interesting and engaging content for publications and community engagement.
You'll work closely with the creative team and Customer Contact Centre officers to identify issues and topics that are important to promote to our community.

You must have a qualification in marketing, communications, media or a related field, or have relevant experience attained through previous appointments, service and/or study.
In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a Class C driver's licence and National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue) will be required as part of the recruitment process.
