The communications lead plays a key role in IPAA ACT's communications and engagement activities.
You will be a skilled writer and communicator with a keen interest in understanding IPAA ACT's public sector audience.
Working closely with the head of strategic communications, you will be shaping the voice and brand of IPAA ACT and ensuring our content stays true to our strategic goals.
We're a small and effective team, so you will get to work with everyone in the organisation across different events and initiatives.
Solid knowledge of Canva and an eye for visual design will be considered a strong asset for this position.
ResponsibilitiesDesigning, developing, and implementing tailored communication strategies, plans, and reports under the guidance of the head of strategic communications.
Supporting the delivery of communications and awareness campaigns.
Writing content and producing graphics for IPAA's communications channels.
Developing visual branding and other communication assets to deliver unique experiences for signature events and conferences.
Writing reports, publications, and other collateral to support engagement, events, podcasts, projects, and governance.
Curating, designing, and distributing newsletters.
Updating and maintaining content on the IPAA ACT and IPAA National websites.
Promoting IPAA's podcast series across multiple channels.
Providing photography and associated AV support at events where appropriate.
Measuring, reporting, and analysing campaigns' and promotions' performance and effectiveness to inform future planning and activities.
QualificationsTertiary qualifications in and/or at least two years' professional experience in communications or marketing.
Experience in technical communications programs including the Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, content management systems (e.g., Wordpress), and marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp).
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to contribute to strategic thinking to support the achievement of IPAA goals and objectives.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, solve problems, and take initiative.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
Curiosity and willingness to learn, interest in the Australian public sector.
Graphic design skills will be highly regarded.
