Your New Role
You contribute to telling the Development Victoria story. Working within our dynamic Corporate Affairs & Engagement Team, the Communications & Engagement Advisor provides support in creating and delivering Development Victoria's communications strategies for the successful delivery of communications for projects being delivered by Development Victoria.
Job Description Assist in developing and implementing communications plans and issues management strategies that mitigate or minimise negative impacts.
Support the development and implementation of community engagement strategies to positively position Development Victoria.
Provide high quality content across print and online channels including via social media to positively engage intended audiences and achieve measurable improvement of Development Victoria's presence and profile.
Manage allocated internal client relationships to maintain clear and open lines of communication and ensure relevant sign off/approvals are obtained for communications materials.
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including communications staff from key partners and consultants , to positively position Development Victoria and assist in achieving positive project outcomes.

Skills and Education
Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or a relevant discipline
Previous experience working within Corporate Affairs, Communications or relevant experience
Broad understanding of communications and/or public relations
Experience in community and stakeholder engagement (desirable)
Broad understanding of and interest in government projects and policies (desirable)
