DescriptionAre you passionate about using your marketing, communications and fundraising skills to make a difference in the lives of people affected by domestic and family violence and sexual assault? DVConnect is now seeking a Communications and Fundraising Specialist to join our team!
Through the Purpose, Vision and Values of DVConnect, the primary responsibility of the Communications and Fundraising Specialist is to ensure DVConnect delivers high-quality communications and connection externally and internally to ensure strong brand awareness of DVConnect and its programs. This role will result in people being confident to contact for support and encourage philanthropic and other fundraising investment in our work.
Advocacy and education delivered in a trauma-aware, healing-informed manner is a critical underpinning of our social and other media, marketing, events and fundraising activities, all of which fall into the remit of this role.
Our ideal candidate has:
Tertiary or other qualifications in marketing, communications, or a related field.2+ years' experience in a similar role.Experience within NFP and exposure to DFV sector would be highly regarded.Self-directed to achieve individual, team and organisational goals.Experience with social media management and content creation.Team player who is energetic, positive, friendly and has a flexible approach.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Understanding of domestic and family violence issues.All offers of employment are subject to satisfactory background checks, including a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, referee checks and proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
