The role is full time, fixed term until 31 Dec 2025 based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas or Cairns Nguma-bada campus.
Remuneration is HEWL 6: $85,816 - $92,948 with up to 17% superannuation.WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLEAs a Digital Content Advisor at JCU, you will contribute to the success of the College of Medicine and Dentistry by producing and distributing high impact, high quality digital and print content to increase audience engagement with the College's programs and build the University's profile as a leader in producing positive health outcomes for regional and remote Australia.
The Digital Content Advisor is accountable for:Contributing to the achievement of the College of Medicine and Dentistry strategic objectives through the development and implementation of an outcomes orientated Communications Plan that is informed by customer centricity and data-driven insights.Promoting the College's programs by producing and distributing high impact, high quality digital and print content that is fit for purpose and accurate.Increasing audience engagement, reach and coverage by writing and publishing high quality and informative copy, and analysing and reporting on results.Measurably increasing brand awareness and influence with target audiences and developing strong working relationships with talent and stakeholders.Contributing to the success of service delivery improvements, strategic projects, and process development by providing subject matter expertise and implementing best practice.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLEDegree qualifications in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations or a related field combined with relevant experience.Experience in producing, publishing, and distributing effective and timely multimedia content for a range of purposes and platforms.Well-developed skills in writing copy for owned and paid channels, including social media, websites, email marketing and public relations and in evaluating performance to provide insights.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience collaborating in a multi-skilled team and effectively managing key stakeholder relationships.Effective computer literacy and a demonstrated ability proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe create apps.Demonstrated understanding of the higher education and health sectors and how they are linked to provide research and employment opportunities.Significant organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.WHY JCU?JCU offers a culturally diverse working environment with opportunities for professional and personal growth.
