Our highly skilled and professional Brand and Strategic Communications team help us to communicate the impact of our world-class research and are responsible for managing all internal and external communications for the Institute including media, marketing & branding, social media & websites, the intranet and events.
We now have an opportunity for a Communications Advisor to join our team of talented professionals to drive the public profile of The Kids Research Institute through strong media relationships and the production of high-quality, engaging video and written content through storytelling that aligns with the strategic goals of the Institute.
Working closely with the Media & Content Manager, this role will also be responsible for developing regular and engaging written content for various communications channels and creative digital marketing campaigns. You will support the wider team by providing communications advice and support in terms of planning and implementing special projects while maintaining high stakeholder engagement.
Some of your duties in this role will include, but not be limited to:
Develop regular and engaging written content for various owned, earned and bought communications channels in a timely manner.Liaise and build excellent working relationships with research and professional service teams to develop communications plans to support their projects.Develop creative and interesting communications journeys to increase engagement in the Institute's activities.Provide communications advice and support by developing and implementing communications plans and campaigns.Assist with planning and implementing events including writing speech notes as required.Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships across The Kids Research Institute to support project communications activities.Contribute to team planning and regular meetings of the Communications team.Conveniently based at Perth Children's Hospital, this role will be offered on a full-time basis.
About You The successful applicant will not only have several years of demonstrated experience in communications, public relations or similar, but also a passion and talent for creating compelling content with a genuine interest in science and health research and how it impacts children and families.
