Job Description - Communications Administrator (260468) HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia's eastern states.
The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500Kv double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0.
The Opportunity We are seeking a Communications Administrator to join the HumeLink West team. The position will support the Community Engagement Investment & Benefits Lead with the Community Benefits Program for the project.
Please note this role will be based in Sydney for the duration of the project supporting the HumeLink West delivery team. Key Accountabilities Working as an integral part of the Community & Stakeholder Engagement team, help facilitate and coordinate communications and reporting functions across the operational areas of the HumeLink West delivery team.Help prepare and manage timely and effective project community notifications and related communications.Use established frameworks and platforms to proactively gather, collate and report the essential information that will underpin the project compliance with internal and external compliance obligations.Support successful team delivery of Community Programs and Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs).Demonstrate effective interpersonal communications, organisational and time management skills to proactively meet deadlines and performance reporting requirements.As a key member of the team, work proactively to identify issues and advance opportunities to benefit project delivery – especially through collaboration and innovation with our client and interfacing stakeholders.Contribute to maintaining a healthy, safe and respectful workplace.About You Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications or media.Experience working in a communications role.Ability to establish strong relationships with various stakeholders within the project.The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
