About the Job Sandy Spring Bank is currently hiring for a Senior Relationship Manager. This position is responsible for building, expanding and growing a portfolio of larger Revenue Middle Market company clients and acts as the primary contact for clients orchestrating a team of specialized partners supporting the client's relationship. Developing new business for the bank by designing integrated banking and financing solutions tailored to the client's specific needs with special focus on margin and relationship profitability. Achieving and exceeding Sales goals across several categories including credit, deposits, Treasury, fee income, margins, credit quality and referral generation to other business lines within the bank relationships. MAJOR JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Sales Activity: Client Contact and Joint Business Calls

Responsible for completing outbound phone calls and in-person calls with prospects as well as assigned relationship clients. Participates in joint business calls with solutions specialists from other business lines within Sandy Spring Bank and Sandy Spring Bancorp subsidiaries. Sales Results: New Loan Production

Responsible for developing loan business with new and established clients. Works closely with assigned Commercial Portfolio Manager, Senior Credit Officer as well as other credit risk partners to negotiate and structure financing solutions and credit transactions. Maintains contact with client throughout the approval and settlement process to ensure client satisfaction. Complies with all relevant regulatory requirements. Negotiates complex credit agreements on behalf of the bank ensuring a smooth client onboarding experience. Sales Results: Fee Income/Deposit Production/Activity Revenue

Responsible for generating non-interest income for the bank through cross-selling of fee-based products (i.e., treasury management products, trust, insurance, and retirement plans). Generates new deposits through needs-based selling to new business prospects and existing corporate clients. Sales Result: Portfolio Growth

Partners with Commercial Portfolio Manager and Senior Credit Officer to be mindful of loan delinquencies and/or future payoffs. Responsible for growth of loan portfolio at a healthy margin to increase interest and loan fee income for the company. Client Service and Satisfaction

Acts as the client's trusted financial advisor and banking partner. Maintains high level of professionalism and courtesy with clients at all times. Responds to calls and messages promptly. Works with all internal partners as needed to resolve any difficulties or complaints. Maintains consistent contact with clients through a structured quarterly calling plan as well as an annual review process. Conducts strategic conversations with C Executives to understand both personal and professional goals. Utilizes needs-based solution offering to enable clients to meet their goals. Always keeps client's best interest in mind to expand client relationship and generate additional revenue to the bank. Required Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Work requires broad professional level of knowledge and expertise in commercial banking with an emphasis on credit and lending principles across various industry verticals. Minimum of 10 years of experience is preferred in a commercial lending environment. Thorough familiarity with related laws and regulations surrounding commercial banking relationships is required. Demonstrated sales success in business development is a must. Ability to utilize standard PC based software to prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are needed to effectively work with clients to explain products, solutions, interpret policy and present/ negotiate bank proposals. Strong inter-personal skills are needed to maintain positive rapport with internal bank partners. Various situations require a substantial degree of analysis, interpretation and evaluation. Situations encountered include facts, issues and circumstances, which are significantly different from those previously addressed. These situations call for the consideration of alternative courses of action and of their consequences before taking or recommending further action. Position makes decisions with the framework of practices and procedures and/or precedents or well-defined policies. Experience with varied industry M&A transactions preferred. Experience with corporate finance deals also preferable. Capital Markets experience and Advisory experience is a plus.

SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work requires reasonable mobility in and around the work area. Ability to use standard computer and phone systems is required. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal office environment where there is almost no discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, or other disagreeable elements. Work includes little or no potential exposure to hazardous conditions. Must be able to travel for internal and external meetings, and conferences as well as for prospecting, client relationship management and business development as needed.

Compensation Information At Sandy Spring Bank, compensation is one part of our total rewards package. Compensation within the range will depend on your skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Additionally, full-time and part-time positions may be eligible to participate in department or company-wide incentive plans. Salary Range USD $150,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.
