Flexible, autonomous work environment Your role We are recruiting Commissioning and Planning Officers for a Talent Pool to fill future ongoing and temporary roles in the NSW Illawarra Shoalhaven Southern District (ISSD). Successful candidates will remain in the Talent Pool for 18 months.
The Commissioning and Planning Officer (CPO) will be part of a motivated ISSD team working to improve the supply of community services across the region. In this role you will manage DCJ contracts with funded service providers, building collaborative sector partnerships that contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.

What you'll do Deliver contract management, monitor and evaluate provider performance.Provide evidence-based advice to support service planning and delivery, including negotiations and consultation with providers, community, and other stakeholders.Provide advice to service providers on governance, interpretation, and application of policies to ensure delivery of quality services.Build collaborative stakeholder relationships through provision of expert advice and assistance to develop the capacity of service providers to respond to sector reforms and initiatives and service improvement strategies.Undertake research to inform planning, purchasing, and contracting services.Contribute to complex documents including submissions, briefing notes, and discussion papers in response to Ministerial and agency requests.This recruitment will establish a Talent Pool to fill CPO roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.
