Wood is currently recruiting for a Commissioning and Systems Integration Lead to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST).
This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond.
Based in Perth CBD, this is a permanent role and is available on a full-time / part-time (job share) / contractor engagement basis.
Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry.
Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region's most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the Delivery Manager and functionally the Construction and Commissioning Manager, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team.
You will be responsible for ensuring that there is ongoing ownership of the requirements to tightly integrate the systems particularly those that form part of the LLPC package, including the Compressor VSD, Transformer, Active Magnetic bearing system, UCP and integration to the site-based PCS, SIS and FGS as required.
Key aspects of the role include:
Reviewing the proposed vendor FAT procedures and ensure that there is alignment between the FAT/SAT and commissioning tasks.Acting focal point on site during the critical phases of commissioning and handover to the Clients Operational readiness group.Ensuring the pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, plan and resources are available to meet the project schedule.Ensuring post RFSU that resources are in place to support the start-up activities.You will bring to life Wood's three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project.

QUALIFICATIONS You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.
Ideally, you will hold an engineering degree with a focus on Controls, Systems and commissioning roles post-graduation and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, working in a systems engineering with commissioning or operational focus on large and complex multi-disciplinary projects.
You will also have:
Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency, to optimize the workflow of a project and influence the efficient delivery of systems through to handover.Able to look ahead across the entire works program to optimize delivery.High level of consistent delivery of FAT intervention and commissioning across several projects.Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset", skilled in the management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.Be a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience, capable of engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practices, driving optimal performance with safety at the heart of everything we do.Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood. What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in successfully delivering and coordinating several commissioning projects involving systems integration, whilst working as a client focal point in a multidisciplinary project team.
