We have a newly created role for a Commercial Support Specialist based within our Brisbane head office, to join our Life Science & Scientific Business Unit. This role will provide support to the Business Unit by contributing to both local and national activities that will assist with the management of both customers and suppliers.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, this hands-on role provides the opportunity to leverage off your healthcare or business background while undertaking a broad range of tasks with a focus on supporting our sales and marketing teams.

You will be exposed to many facets of our medium-sized business and will play an integral part in our business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide business support to the commercial team by contributing to both local and national activities that will assist with the management of both customers and suppliers. Maintain and complete accurate and up to date documentation and collaborate with the commercial team when required in relation to specific commercial activities. Coordinate tender planning, completion timeframes, and submission of completed documentation. Assist with the planning and coordination of internal commercial meetings and training sessions. Supplier contract review and administration. Conduct market research to assist with marketing campaigns and field sales tactics. Coordinate and proof business reports for presentation to suppliers. Interact with Customer Care regarding pre/post-order enquiries. Assist in the coordination of product changes, updates, discontinuations, and launches. Assist in conducting product recalls and other regulatory activities as required. Attend product training sessions with the sales team to understand products and technologies and develop your commercial skills. REQUIREMENTS Previous experience in a Life Science/Scientific administrative, sales or customer service role. Certificate level or above in Biological Sciences/Medical Sciences/Business. Excellent communication skills, ability to interact with all levels and roles within the business. Experience with preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
