What you'll be doing The objective of the Senior Commercial Analyst (internally known as Commercial Performance Specialist) role is to provide data-driven commercial analytics support to identify revenue opportunities and continuously refine the Commercial Strategy and Roadmap across the commercial functions to achieve the overarching revenue ambition. It includes providing proactive support to the Head of and General Manager in preparation for CEO/Board updates and management level performance tracking to generate ongoing insights. This role also plays a direct role to lead more complex and advance modelling for special projects within the Commercial Division, particularly in the Sales function.
Further responsibilities include: Use Microsoft Excel and Power BI to proactively interrogate and analyse data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities that help the company drive incremental revenueTransform analytical output into actionable insights and narratives that will improve decision making and consequently drive business performanceContinual delivery of strong recommendations with options considered and supported by a high degree of robust analyticsSupport the commercial leadership team to identify and scope commercial opportunities in the Sales function and lead the sizing of commercial benefits and investmentsWork closely with the Sales team to execute identified commercial opportunitiesProduce routine reporting that addresses performance and key risk areas, providing clearly articulated insights and actions to be taken to address findings; automate to greatest degree possiblePromote a data lead culture through the use of data and analytical decision making across the Commercial DivisionYou'll be great in this role if you… Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Business, Economics, Finance, etc.)A background in Management Consulting or a similar commercial/analytical role (3+ years)Advanced Excel skills (you have built models before).
