An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Officer to join a dynamic team in Regional Queensland. This role offers a salary range of $90k to $140k and provides the chance to work within a supportive and inclusive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end procurement, contract and contract management activities across various goods and services categories. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to utilise their skills in a role that offers both challenge and reward.What you'll do:Take accountability for health, safety, and environmental outcomes.Operate in accordance with company policies, standards, and procedures.Provide input to the development and execution of the commercial business plan.Establish, execute, and maintain annual sourcing plan for goods and service contracts.Lead the analysis and evaluation of tenders and quotations in alignment with internal stakeholders.Negotiate contract terms & conditions within legal governance frameworks and prepare supply contract recommendations.Administer contracts, monitor suppliers performance and formalise performance outcomes.Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, service providers and internal stakeholders.Identify value-adding opportunities that contribute to continuous improvement business outcomes.What you bring:Degree in business / supply chain management / procurement or similar (Desirable)Minimum of 5 years procurement / contract / contract management experience in a similar work environmentKnowledge of legislation including workplace health and safety, chain of responsibility & modern slavery etcProficient in the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly Oracle JDE.Advanced skills in MS Office suiteStrong written skills, with the ability to write comprehensive documentationAbility to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and strong time management skills.What sets this company apart:This company prides itself on its commitment to providing an inclusive and supportive work environment.
