A real endeavour, shaped by you As Commercial Officeryou will to provide commercial and contracting support to client areas under the guidance of senior team members.
To succeed in this endeavour, you will be responsible for:
Contract and contract change proposals review, drafting and preparation of approval documentation. Assist with the development of complex Approach to Market (ATM) documentation including tender documentation, Liability Risk Assessments, approval and release documentation and evaluation plans. Facilitate the release of the ATM documentation, updating the Materiel Procurement Register and provision of support to the subsequent evaluation, negotiation of contract changes, contract execution and associated approval documentation. Provision of procurement, commercial and contracting advice. Supporting the development of contract/commercial strategies and planning documents for enduring sustainment arrangements. Supporting commercial activities and other matters associated with the MIWS Branch as directed by the Contracting Directors, MPB Ships and Maritime Acquisition. Qualifications A real endeavour, driven by you Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. Demonstrated understanding and/or experience in the identification/mitigation of procurement risks; preparation of procurement advice; sourcing/tender development; probity; evaluation; and contract management. Demonstrated experience undertaking complex, high risk, high value contracts A commercial awareness, highly developed interpersonal skills, the ability to work in a team, ability to work to tight timeframes and independently (with appropriate supervision), knowledge of Commonwealth procurement policies are highly valued. Successful completion of Defence specific Commercial courses such as: Awareness of Probity in Defence eLearning, Performance Based Contracting Awareness eLearning; ASDEFCON (Complex Materiel) Vol 2; CRT Module 2: ASDEFCON Technical Data / Intellectual Property; CRT Module 5: ASDEFCON Liability would be highly desirable.
