Commercial Manager - Work Winning

Clough has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join the work winning team based in Perth (will also consider candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne). The role will support the tendering division across the infrastructure, energy, and resources sector, supporting the commercial function in its work-winning role across the WeBuild Clough group. The role is responsible for negotiating and executing commercial contracts and risk allocation.Who we areWe are a pioneering project delivery company. Together with our parent company, Webuild, we are delivering some of Australia's largest projects.Key Responsibilities:Tendering and Bid Management:Manage the bid approval process, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.Conduct risk assessments for all tenders, identifying potential commercial, technical, and financial risks.Work closely with engineering, legal, and financial teams to ensure all aspects of tenders are accurately represented.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and subcontractors.Support the negotiation of contracts and agreements with clients and partners to secure favourable terms and conditions.Key Skills and Competencies:Commercial Acumen: Experience in tendering/bidding for major infrastructure and energy jobs with a variety of contract models.Analytical Thinking: Familiarity with complex contracts and commercial documentation.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare compelling tenders and reports.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all commercial and financial matters.Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiating contracts and resolving disputes.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial management role within the engineering or construction industry, energy resources.Previous in-house legal experience would also be suitable.Experience in tendering and bid management, preferably for large-scale engineering projects.Strong understanding of contract law and risk allocation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant commercial management software.Clough's people enjoy:A competitive remuneration package & ongoing career development and opportunities.Flexible and remote work options to manage work and lifestyle commitments.Exposure to a range of iconic projects and industries.Ongoing training for career progression.Industry leading paid parental leave program from the day you join.Mental health and wellbeing programs.Employee assistance program for employees and their families.Special offers on private health insurance, salary packaging, banking, travel, groceries and more.Salary continuance insurance (criteria applies).A supportive team culture and environment.We're building a diverse workforce.
