CPB Contractors is the CIMIC Group's construction company and a leading international construction contractor, with operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.
TasWater's Capital Delivery Office (CDO) is responsible for delivering TasWater's major infrastructure projects. These extensive works form part of TasWater's $1.1 billion capital works program that is being rolled out across Tasmania.
The Selfs Point STP Project is valued at over $300m and includes the new Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant and the Macquarie Point pumping station connected by a new Sewer Rising Main.
The position of Commercial Manager for the Selfs Point STP Project is with CPB Contractors in partnership with TasWater, UGL, and WSP. This role is based on-site at the new Selfs Point Sewage Treatment Plant in Hobart, promoting effective commercial practices on the project.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial and contract administration within construction or engineering projects, as well as a strong background in commercial management.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related fields, or postgraduate qualifications in relevant disciplines.
A general overview of the role includes:
Leading the Commercial function for the Selfs Point STP project, ensuring strong contract and financial risk management, and accurate forecasting of costs and revenue.Ensuring compliance with commercial requirements in contracts and major subcontracts.Identifying and negotiating Head Contract scope changes with the Client.Establishing and developing a high-performance team.We are proud to provide essential services to the Tasmanian community.
