We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our team and work on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland history.
Reporting to the General Manager Rollingstock Works, the Commercial Manager Rollingstock (JV), QTMP is responsible for the commercial management of the project with oversight of legal matters, upstream/downstream variations and claims/disputes. As a critical member of the QTMP leadership team, the Commercial Manager along with his/her peers are responsible for the on-time delivery of the project within the agreed budget.
Role:
Manage the commercial activities for the QTMP rollingstock works to optimise commercial outcomes and mitigate risk for Downer, support delivery of contractual commitments to customers, support resolution of issues and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Provide commercial and contractual expertise to improve the performance of the QTMP Project, by providing commercial oversight to the Project Deed, and the Rollingstock Subcontract.
Responsible for managing all upstream and downstream variation claims and contractual disputes.
Resource management and appropriate allocation of work to the QTMP Commercial team, together with organisation of, and reporting accurately on activity.
Supporting the project with full implementation of and adherence to the Downer Standard for Delivery Management Standards and Commercial and Legal Standards, in partnership with the TDS & Assurance stream of the project.
Support developing commercial acumen within the operational businesses.
